Racing Experience

Since the age of eight years old I have been racing in some form or another. It has enabled me to develop a competitive mindset, the mechanical skills to maintain the cars week after week. I raced alongside my father (who also drag races), and together we travelled all across North America for races. Racing eventually took a back seat to pursue an engineering degree, but Iā€™m still involved for fun.

Junior Dragster

At the age of eight I began drag racing Junior Dragsters, which are 1/2 scale race cars for kids of the age 8-18. In the 1/8th mile I would run 7.90s at 85mph (which is about equivalent to a new Corvette). Junior Dragsters used a Briggs & Stratton style engine running methanol fuel and producing ~80hp.

Top Dragster

At the age of sixteen I transitioned from a Junior Dragster to a full scale dragster, racing in the Top Dragster class. The engine was 632 cubic inch in size, and produced ~1400hp. My quickest time in the 1/4 mile was 6.70s at 200mph.

RC Cars

I began competitively racing RC cars at the age of 13. My primary class was 1/8th scale gas powered (nitro methane) off-road cars, but I also raced 1/10th scale electric off-road and on-road cars. For several years I was also a sponsored driver for Kyosho America, and acted as a representative at races.
