Shell Eco Marathon
During my undergraduate degree I was part of Carleton University's first Shell Eco Marathon team. I was responsible for designing and manufacturing the first iteration of the chassis. The goal was to have a functional chassis that could be used for engine and bodywork development.
The chassis was made from carbon fibre sandwich panels, which I personally performed the layup for (and which gave me an appreciation for how difficult composites manufacturing is). I also designed and machined the steering assemble and front/rear axle assemblies.
Additionally, I was responsible for raising and managing the funds for that years project.
